Why are we here?
PROMPT desires to be more than just a literary magazine. We’re just as interested in the process of writing as we are in the final product. By providing prompts for our online and print issues as well as our contests, we hope to encourage people to write new stories, poems, non-fiction, and anything in between.
PROMPT wants to bring writers, artists, and creators at Northwestern together through our workshops and other quarterly events. Part of the process of writing is talking about writing. We want to help writers improve their craft by providing a forum to openly discuss their own work and the work of their peers.
